Last season No. 4 seed Nevada knocked off No. 2 seed Fort Scott 49-32 in the championship game

The Nevada Lady Tigers earned its fifth victory of the season with a 50-37 defeat of El Dorado Springs at the 39th Annual Clinton Basketball Tournament on Wednesday night. With the Wednesday night victory over fifth-seeded El Do, No. 8 seed Nevada (5-12) advances to the consolation finals (fifth-place game) where they are slated to matchup with the seventh-seeded Sherwood Lady Marksmen. Comets upset bid falls short against North Central Missouri

In a wild game that featured multiple ejections the visiting North Central Missouri College Lady Pirates downed the Cottey Comets 61-58. Despite the loss it was one of Cottey's best efforts of the season as North Central entered Wednesday night's Region 16 matchup at Hinkhouse Center on a six-game winning streak. The road victory improves the Lady Pirates to 14-5 overall
