The sales team (deputies) have been doing a great job at marketing the services we offer here at the Vernon County Bed & Breakfast. Customer acquisition has been high and all our beds have been sold out, many by return customers. One such customer was obtained recently because a deputy, who had just looked through a list of wanted people, located a person with warrants by recognizing the mustache on the man's face as the same mustache in one of the photos of wanted people. ...

Nevada swimmer Hines dominates Arkansas State Championships

Ben Hines, 14, racked up a number of top finishes at the recently held 2017 Arkansas State (swimming) Championships. Hines netted gold in the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 47.28. In addition, the Nevada Middle School eighth-grader placed first in the 50-yard freestyle (22.00); 200-yard freestyle (146.88); and 100-yard backstroke (56.29); and second-place in the 200-yard Individual Medley (204.90) and 100-yard butterfly (54.52).
