Residents escape injury in early morning fire

The Nevada Fire Department responded to a report of a structure fire at 223 E. Ashland St. at about 5:30 Monday morning. Fire Chief William Thornton wrote in a press release, “Upon our arrival, fire was visible from the backside of the single story wood frame structure.
