Maude Marie Blodgett, 82, El Dorado Springs, passed away on Monday, Oct. 9, at her home in El Dorado Springs. Maude was born a triplet on Aug. 12, 1935, in Stockton, Mo., to Earl and Jessie (Weig) Bishop. She was united in marriage to Archie Lee Neal in 1953 and he preceded her in death. She later married Harold Blodgett and he also preceded her in death...

Carmen Lucille Conger Bohannon passed peacefully early Sunday morning Oct. 8, with her family by her side. Cremation services will be held in Wagner, S.D., at a later date. Sheldon’s cross country team was busy last week, competing in back-to-back meets, beginning with Wednesday’s rain-soaked invitational in Montrose. Sheldon then traveled to Pleasanton, Kansas for a Thursday meet. For Sheldon, junior Matt Bogart placed 12th individually in Montrose, clocking a 21.16 in the boys varsity 5K; and then ran a personal best 20.21 in Pleasanton, for a season average of 21.37...

The Nevada Tiger C-football team was edged by Warrensburg 22-14, Monday night at Logan Field. Nevada (1-5) received a first quarter 15-yard rushing touchdown from quarterback Matt Thorp; and a second rushing touchdown via Justin Guy’s second quarter 50-yard scamper. With a pair of Wes Balk extra points, Nevada led 14-6 at halftime...

It was an efficient night Tuesday for the Nevada Lady Tiger volleyball team, making quick work of visiting Kansas City Center on Senior Night in Wynn Gymnasium. Center played its best volleyball early, taking a 6-3 first-set lead. Fern Mae Earnest, 92, Nevada, passed away on Monday, Oct. 9, at Freeman West Hospital in Joplin following a brief illness. Fern was born May 17, 1925, in Nevada, to Clarence Frances and Mae Caroline (Shade) Dee. She was united in marriage to Elson V. Earnest on April 1, 1945, in Ft. Scott and he preceded her in death on April 24, 2004...
