Former Vernon County Ambulance Director James McKenzie and office manager Tina Werner are scheduled to stand trial in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Missouri in Springfield the week of Sept. 24. “Can’t say there won’t be any more continuances — that’s up to the judge,” Don Ledford said. “Assuming that both defendants go to trial and nobody pleads guilty between now and then, trial could last about four days.”...
