According to a recent press release, Cottey College has named Rose Howell to lead the school's cross country/track program. Howell replaces Tony Skiles, who recently resigned after spending the past two years as the head coach of the program. Youth Fair rodeo nets record profits

The recently concluded three-day Vernon County Youth Fair Rodeo was a smashing success, as the fundraiser event netted record profits. With all ticket (profit) proceeds going to next month's week-long Youth Fair, the rodeo grossed $31,833, with a total net profit-margin of $13,362. Additionally, a half-dozen rodeo royalty candidates racked a combined $9,980 in pre-ticket sales.
