According to a recent press release, Cottey College has named Rose Howell to lead the school's cross country/track program. The recently concluded three-day Vernon County Youth Fair Rodeo was a smashing success, as the fundraiser event netted record profits. With all ticket (profit) proceeds going to next month's week-long Youth Fair, the rodeo grossed $31,833, with a total net profit-margin of $13,362. Additionally, a half-dozen rodeo royalty candidates racked a combined $9,980 in pre-ticket sales.
