    Despite the many challenges created by the global pandemic, Nevada High School's summer school session has thus far gone off without a hitch. The 12-day, Monday through Friday session, runs June 15-30 — with 117 students enrolled. "Summer school has been off to a pretty good start," said Nevada High Principal Will Darter. “We’ve obviously been putting safety guidelines and practices in place.     Vernon County native J.R. Stratford has been virtually unbeatable on the Bull Riding circuit as of late, as the former junior world champion scored victories on back-to-back nights (June 19-20). Friday in Green Ridge (Mo.), Stratford scored out at 83.5 in the long run. He then recorded the night's high-score in the short-go, with an 87 — en route to the bull-ride victory, and a $1,580 payday...
