Summer school going smoothly at Nevada High

Despite the many challenges created by the global pandemic, Nevada High School's summer school session has thus far gone off without a hitch. The 12-day, Monday through Friday session, runs June 15-30 — with 117 students enrolled. Stratford sweeps to consecutive bull-riding victories

Vernon County native J.R. Stratford has been virtually unbeatable on the Bull Riding circuit as of late, as the former junior world champion scored victories on back-to-back nights (June 19-20). Friday in Green Ridge (Mo.), Stratford scored out at 83.5 in the long run. He then recorded the night's high-score in the short-go, with an 87 — en route to the bull-ride victory, and a $1,580 payday...
