In the first in-person meeting since February, the Nevada Regional Medical Center board of directors met Tuesday evening in the pavilion at the Vernon County Fairgrounds. Board Chairperson Steve Russ noted at the top of the agenda that the pavilion was chosen for the meeting due to it having more room available for social distancing. Bright Beginnings Preschool in Nevada recently embarked on a "balloon-mail' project, with splendid results. The balloon-release came on the final day of their summer camp. For the project, the preschoolers drew a picture on a poem-letter, and then attached it to two balloons, and released them into the air, with hopes they would eventually be discovered many miles away. ...
