Although the results of the Cottey College golf team's first tournament of the spring season were not what the Comets were hoping for, the experience of playing at one of the most famous resorts in the country sure made the trip worth it. At least, that was the takeaway of head coach Eric Cameron, whose squad shot an 826 (+250) to finish eighth out of eight teams in the Pinehurst Invitational earlier this week...

The Nevada Tigers are sending two young men and one young woman to the MSHSAA Class es 1 and 2 State Wrestling Championships next week at Cable Dahmer Arena in Independence. This year’s state series has been quite different due to COVID-19. In the past, at least on the boys side, wrestlers would compete in one of four super districts where the top four finishers from each weight class would then move on to the state tournament held on a Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, usually the week of Valentine’s Day, at Mizzou Arena in Columbia. ...
