NHS golfers awarded end-of-season honors (High School Sports ~ 03/24/21)
Nevada High School head golf coach Brian Leonard handed out several awards on Friday to members of his girls team after a successful season this past fall. Junior Katie Pennington, sophomore Riley Severance, and freshman Paige Hertzberg — each of whom played in the MSHSAA Class 2 state tournament at Meadow Lake Acres Country Club in New Bloomfield — as well as Libby Barrett received Nevada letters for their accomplishments out on the links... -
Spring season openers postponed due to rain

The start of the spring sports season for some area high schools will have to wait at least one more day. The Sheldon High School baseball team was set to throw out the first pitch of its new season at home against Dadeville Tuesday afternoon, but the game was briefly penciled in to be played at Dadeville before inclement weather there forced it to be postponed altogether. A make-up date may be scheduled at a later time...
