    In case you thought the once common childhood illness known as measles was eradicated, think again. “As of Friday, Feb. 28, there was a total of 146 confirmed cases associated with the Texas outbreak, and it has migrated into News Mexico as well. Out of those 146, there’s been 20 hospitalized patients, and there’s been one death who was an unvaccinated school age child," Vernon County Health Department Nurse Melissa Keating, RN, said. "Measles is a highly contagious disease.”...

    The 15-7 Nevada Lady Tigers began district tournament play in Pleasant Hill vs the Center High School Lady Yellowjackets on Tuesday night. Center, 9-17, came into the contest averaging 33 points per contest on offense while giving up 46 ppg on defense. Nevada averages 43 points per game on offense and give up 39 points defensively. Nevada has won the last 7 of 11 contests between the two programs dating back to 2015...
