Sheldon's 121-year-old tradition brings community together from near and far

On Saturday morning, Aug. 16, the Sheldon annual town party was already in full swing with baseball (pun not intended), horseshoes clanging, kids on playground equipment, food vendors, crafts, and the baby contest getting ready to start. Already there had been other activities for adults and kids, more to come throughout the day and into the evening, including the tractor pull and the car show. City manager provides updates during Chamber luncheon

Nevada/Vernon County Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Jessica Sloniker introduced Nevada City Manager Gary Edwards as the speaker for the Aug.. 13 gathering of the Chamber Luncheon hosted at the Healthy Nevada workspace. Edwards said even though much of what he had to share had been covered in the different local media outlets, in the effort to get city information to as many as possible, “redundancy, repetitiveness is a very important in our business.”...
