On Saturday morning, Aug. 16, the Sheldon annual town party was already in full swing with baseball (pun not intended), horseshoes clanging, kids on playground equipment, food vendors, crafts, and the baby contest getting ready to start. Already there had been other activities for adults and kids, more to come throughout the day and into the evening, including the tractor pull and the car show. Nevada/Vernon County Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Jessica Sloniker introduced Nevada City Manager Gary Edwards as the speaker for the Aug.. 13 gathering of the Chamber Luncheon hosted at the Healthy Nevada workspace.
