Tiger frosh spikers capture second in Webb City tourney

Nevada High's freshmen volleyball team rolled over the competition en route to the final of the Webb City Freshmen Tournament on Saturday. After defeating Aurora, McDonald Co., and Neosho, the Tigers met Webb City for the championship. Nevada (5-1) dropped the first game 25-14, then evened the match with a 25-16 win. Webb City squeaked past the Tigers in the third and deciding game by a 16-14 margin. Brittany Crockett, Kaitlyn Holland, Kelly Cooper and Ashley Bryson were Tiger scoring leaders throughout the tournament.
