Calvary Eagles slay Lions

The Calvary Christian Eagles varsity volleyball team defeated Plaza Heights of Blue Springs on Tuesday. Improving to 7-6, the Eagles won 25-17, 26-24, over the Lions. Sarah Hall's 10 service points, including three aces, led Calvary's scoring. Kylie Kitsmiller had eight assists and Toni Scougal had six kills. In junior varsity action, the Eagles fell to Plaza Heights in three games. After a first-game win, 25-13, the Eagles dropped two straight to the Lions, 25-22 and 25-16. Kitsmiller led the Eagle scoring with 14, including five aces. The Eagles play their final home match today at the Nevada YMCA against the Faith Falcons of Osawatomie, Kan. It will also be "senior night," honoring Toni Scougal, the lone senior.
