100 Years Ago -- July 2, 1903 HARWOOD HAPPENINGS -- Fred Tracy of Nevada, was in Harwood visiting Monday. W.A. Underwood has sold his grain house to Chas. Moss. Five carloads of corn were shipped from this place Tuesday, Charlie Broughton making a sale of about 500 bushels. H.A. Lollar is in Walker this week buying hay and grain. Chas Shelton returned this week from a trip to Chicago with a car of cattle. The Ladies Aid Society gave a very elaborate ice cream, cake and fruit supper Saturday night, realizing about $25 for the benefit of the M.E. Church. Harwood has passed an ordinance forbidding ball playing on our streets.
