NMS wrestlers capture awards at Kansas meet

Three Nevada Middle School wrestlers won first-place honors in a tournament at Columbus, Kan., on Saturday.

Spenser Daniels placed first in his "A" pool matches and Jordan Hagerman and Colton Johnson won top honors in their "B" pool matches.

"A" pool runners-up included Josh Palmer, Colby Shepherd, Nash Smith and Jerrod Alexander with Chris Harris and Jordan Smith finishing third in their "B" pool matches.

The seventh- and eighth-grade wrestlers are scheduled for competition at Webb City tomorrow, then host Harrisonville and Carthage on Thursday.
