Main street preservation expert visits Nevada group

Friday, November 21, 2003

Main Street Nevada received a visit from Sheri Stuart, National Main Street Center program associate, Wednesday. Stuart has been with the Main Street organization for 13 years, the last five at the national level. Stuart was in town to do a program review of the Nevada group and take a look at what their plans are for the future.

"I'll do a program review of all Missouri Main Street programs. Nevada is the sixth city I've visited out of 11. I look at the program, do an evaluation and give a written report to help the local group out." said Stuart will also hold workshops members of the local groups can attend. "I look at funding and staffing issues and what the groups hope to accomplish and what resources are available to meet those objectives."

Main Street is a project of the National Trust for Historic Preservation, a non-profit, self-supported group dedicated to protect and preserve historic sites.
