Moving day

Wednesday, December 3, 2003

A building formerly owned by Nevada Regional Medical Center was moved out-of-town Tuesday morning, and while moving the home west along Austin Boulevard, the crews had to take special care to clear utility wires. Tilton and Sons, a specialty transportation company was hired to move the building from 812 S. Adams St. to the new owner's land outside of Nevada, where the new owner plans to convert it into a residence. When in use by the hospital, the building housed the public relations department for the hospital. Public relations has moved into offices on the second floor of the "south tower" building. Crews undertaking such a project must file their plans with city hall and with the fire department.
