The third cup

Hi neighbors. I hope you plan on leaving some coffee out for Santa. I know, I know -- the traditional drinks are hot chocolate, milk or eggnog. But consider this: Santa is a working man, out in the cold all night long, traveling, trying to stay awake for more than 24 hours, going into heated homes then back out into an open sleigh. If it were you, wouldn't you prefer coffee? Cookies are another story. How many stops would it take you to fill up on cookies? Just what would happen to one of us if we stopped every five minutes, ate a handful of cookies, drank a glass of milk, then climbed back up a chimney? We'd be sick that's what! Show some consideration this year. Leave Santa some trail mix or pretzels or something else mostly fiber. He is getting pretty old you remember. Besides, what he doesn't eat the reindeer will. I'm surprised the reindeer union hasn't had a strike years before this what with Santa stuffing himself all night on cookies and making those poor reindeer work 24 hours with no breaks and no snacks! Don't you wonder what Mrs. Claus does all night while he's gone? She probably worries about him. He only gets out once a year after all. I'll bet Rudolph was her idea in the first place. Someone had to be able to find their way home and Santa probably wouldn't be able to stay awake after a night of consuming a hundred pounds of cookies and a gallons of milk.
