Eagles downed by Plaza Heights

The Calvary Christian Eagles boys and girls teams lost both ends of its matchup with the Plaza Heights Lions on Friday.

The Lady Eagles (0-7), led by Toni Scougal's 10 points, were defeated 34-24.

Rachelle Talley and Sha-Ree Chevalier scored eight and six points, respectively.

Scougal also recorded double digits in rebounding with 14, as did Tally with 12.

Calvary's boys lost to the Lions, 51-35.

The Eagles (1-8) could blame a poor performance in the middle quarters, when they were outscored 32-10.

Tyler Borders paced the Calvary offense with 16 points, while Scott Borders added 12.

The same twosome led in rebounds with nine and eight, respectively.

Calvary hosts the New Covenant Eagles on Friday, January 9, at the Nevada YMCA.
