The Second Annual Ball given by the Ladies Auxiliary to the Brotherhood of Locomotive Firemen at the Eagles' Hall last night was largely attended and a success from every standpoint. The ball was prettily decorated for the occasion. The large inscription "Welcome To All" greeted the dancers and they entered the dance hall and the floor committee saw that the greeting was most heartily. A program of thirty dances was thoroughly enjoyed by the young people and many of the older folks were present to enjoy the happiness for the younger ones. Massie's Orchestra furnished very good music. An oyster banquet was served in the rooms adjoining. Al Owens acted as master of ceremonies ands to the following committee is due the credit of the success of the second and best annual ball of the Ladies Auxiliary.

Komp Jarrett, proprietor of the Trail Drive-In Theatre here, is one fellow who really wants to see it rain and he's willing to pay for it. Just to prove he isn't fooling when he makes such a statement, Jarrett told The Daily today that if it rains one inch by Saturday noon n Nevada he will present every car that attends the opening show of the season at the Trail Drive-In Friday night a free pass good for Thursday, Friday or Saturday of next week.

Jarrett said the drive-in will be open Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights this week and then will be closed until next Thursday night when it will go on a regular seven nights a week basis for the season.
