Woman injured in Tuesday accident

A 45-year-old Nevada woman was seriously injured in an early Tuesday morning traffic crash in her SUV, according to a report from the Nevada Police Department. Officers responded at 4:50 a.m. to the one-vehicle accident at the intersection of Highland and West that occurred when a 2000 Ford Explorer driven by Della R. Breckenridge's left the roadway striking the chainlink fence around Newton Burial Park. The police report listed Breckenridge with disabling injuries. She was transported via ambulance to the helicopter pad at Nevada Regional Medical Center and then transported to St. John's Regional Medical Center in Joplin.
