Anthony Lawson paints Santa's House on the Square in preparation for Bushwhacker Days. Lawson is one of a handful of volunteers from the Vernon County Adult Drug Court, a diversionary program aimed at giving first-time offenders found guilty of committing drug-related crimes the opportunity to choose the path toward a drug-free lifestyle. The Vernon County Adult Drug Court Committee will conduct its third graduation ceremony at 4:30 p.m., Tuesday, June 29, in the Circuit Courtroom in the Vernon County Courthouse. Ann Wilson, alcohol and drug abuse coordinator for the Division of Juvenile and Adult Court Programs with the Office of the State Courts Administrator, will serve as special guest speaker. The event is open to the public.
