Lydia Breiann Fox

Mr. and Mrs. Chris Fox, Rich Hill, are proud to announce the birth of their daughter, Lydia Breiann Fox. Lydia was born at 11:04 p.m., on June 25, 2004, at Overland Park Regional Medical Center in Overland Park, Kan. She weighed 6 pounds, 12 ounces, and measured 19 inches. Paternal grandparent is Janet Fox, Cincinnati, Ohio. Maternal grandparents are Goldie Rogers and David Rogers, both of Rich Hill. Maternal great-grandparents are Bill Reed and Bonnie Reed, both of Rich Hill.

Emily Gene Ann Layher

Mr. and Mrs. Matt Layher and Natali, all Moundville, are proud to announce the birth of their daughter and sister, Emily Gene Ann Layher. Emily was born on July 13, 2004, at Nevada Regional Medical Center. She weighed 5 pounds, 10 ounces, and measured 19 inches.

Obituaries

Kerri Beth Dighero

Kerri Beth Dighero, 25, Nevada, died Monday, July 12, 2004, at St. John's Regional Medical Center in Joplin, as a result of an automobile accident. She was born Dec. 4, 1978, in El Dorado Springs, to Donald Raymond Dighero and Susan Diane Warner Dighero.

She went Walker High School class of 1997 where she was on the honor roll. She was an active member of the Badger 4-H. She worked at Mil-Tech, Nevada, as a seamstress since 1996. She was an avid member of the Professional Bull Riders Club.

She is survived by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Donald Dighero, Nevada; two sisters, Chastity Hutchison and her husband Tom, Nevada, and Amy Sue Dighero, Nevada; grandparents, Herb and Lorna Dighero, Nevada, and Noble and Gladys Warner, Lamar; and numerous uncles, aunts and cousins.

Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m., Thursday, July 15, at Tolson Cemetery, rural Sheldon, with Brother Bruce Hooper officiating. Friends may call now and until 9 a.m., Thursday, at Ferry Funeral Home, Nevada.

Those who wish, may contribute to the family for her hospital expenses in care of Ferry Funeral Home, Nevada.

Clyde J. Buck

Clyde J. Buck, 80, Nevada, died July 14, 2004, at Nevada Regional Medical Center. Family information and funeral arrangements will be announced by Ferry Funeral Home.

Donald Eugene Bayless

Donald Eugene Bayless, 74, Rich Hill, died July 11, 2004, at St. Joseph Hospital in Kansas City, Mo. He was born on May 24, 1930, in Tecumsah, Neb., the son of Lawrence and Orpha (Hammond) Bayless. He married Dorothy Wilson.

He worked at Seco Steel for several years as a laborer.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Jimmy Bayless; and one sister, Joann Chance. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy, of the home; one daughter, Donna Rich, Butler; two sons, Lawrence Bayless, Butler, and Michael Bayless, Rich Hill; five step-children, Pamela Storms, Orleans, Ind., Hope Wright, Kansas City, Kan., James Harms, Sedalia, Mo., and David Allison, Topeka, Kan.; two grandchildren; 14 step-grandchildren; several step-great-grandchildren; one brother, Bob Bayless; five sisters, Donna Moser, Donna Allen, Judy Marcus, Orpha Bayless and Sandy Peak.

Services were held at Sweetwater Tabernacle Church today at 11 a.m., with Carl Covey officiating. Interment was in Greenlawn cemetery in Rich Hill. Arrangements by Heuser Funeral Home, Rich Hill.

Juanita Mae Brown

Juanita Mae Brown, 77, Butler, died Saturday, July 10, 2004, at Bates County Memorial Hospital in Butler. She was born on July 2, 1927, in Foster, Mo., the daughter of William and Ida (Hackworth) Black. She married David Brown on Feb. 2, 1946, in Butler. She was a Christian.

She was preceded in death by two sons, David Alan and Glenn Russell (Rusty) Brown; her parents; two sisters, Donna Black, and Joan Juttle; two brothers, Everett and Bob Black; and one great-grandson. She is survived by her husband, David Brown, Butler; two sons, Carl (Edward) Brown, Wichita, Kan., and Harold W. Brown, Belton, Mo.; one daughter, April Nichols, Rich Hill; two sisters, Alice Schmidt and Wilma Ramage; two brothers, Dwayne and Richard Black; nine grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.

Services were held Tuesday, July 13, at Heuser Funeral Home at 11 a.m. Interment was in Greenlawn cemetery in Rich Hill. Arrangements were by Heuser Funeral Home, Rich Hill.
