James Michael Rodarmel

Mike and Holly Rodarmel, Nevada, are proud to announce the birth of their son, James Michael Rodarmel. James was born at 4:35 a.m., on Aug. 2, 2004, at Nevada Regional Medical Center. He weighed 5 pounds, 4 ounces, and measured 17.5 inches. He joins four sisters, Ashley, Kendra, Marie and Bailey. Paternal grandparents are Linda Rodarmel and the late Ray Rodarmel. Maternal grandparents are Kathy and Don Thompson, Bullhead, Ariz. Maternal great-grandparents are Nancy and Clarence Schoneweather, Deerfield, the late Stub Jenkins and the late Don and Wilva Thompson.

Elijah Graham Hallam

David and Corina Hallam of Kansas City, Mo., are proud to announce the birth of their son, Elijah Graham Hallam. Elijah was born Wednesday, July 28, 2004, at Research Hospital. He weighed 8 pounds, 14.5 ounces and measured 21.5 inches. He joins a brother, Isaiah David Hallam. Paternal grandparents are John and Patty Hallam, Walker. Maternal grandparents are Bob and Frances Blecha, Table Rock, Neb.

Kaitlyn Elizabeth Wynes

Penny and Murry Wynes of Golden, Colo. are proud to announce the birth of their first child, Kaitlyn Elizabeth. She was born Aug. 4, 2004, at University Hospital in Denver, Colo. She weighed 7 pounds, 8 ounces, and measured 20 inches. Grandparents are June and Brian Clarke of Lancaster, England, and Carolyn and Dick Wynes of Laramie, Wyo. Great-grandparents are Frances Beisly of Nevada, Mo., and L.E. "Larry" Wynes of El Dorado Springs, Mo.

Deaths

Jerald Dean Cooper

Jerald Dean Cooper, 34, Hume, died Friday, Aug. 6, 2004, as the result of an automobile accident. He was born Aug. 29, 1969, in Nevada, to Donald G. Cooper Sr. and Nora Louisiana Jane Hamilton Cooper. He married Barbara Ann Spawn on Sept. 19, 1993, in Richards.

He was born and raised in this area and spent his entire life here. He attended Nevada R-5 schools. He has worked for the past 12 years for the Mashek Farming Business.

Survivors include one son, Joshua Eugene Cooper, of the home; one daughter, Tamarra Michelle Cooper, of the home; mother, Janie Cooper, Richards; father, Donald Cooper Sr., Richards; two brothers, J.R. Cooper, Fort Scott, Kan., and Willie Cooper, Richards; paternal grandparents, William J. and Lois Cooper, Richards; and a host of other relatives. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m., Monday, Aug. 9, at Richland Cemetery, Richards, with the Rev. Bill Smith officiating. Friends may call now and until 1:30 p.m. on Monday at Ferry Funeral Home, Nevada. The family receives friends from 4-6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
