Avery Grace Morris

Dustin and Erin Morris, Nevada, are proud to announce the birth of their daughter, Avery Grace Morris. Avery was born at 11:27 p.m., on Sept. 13, 2004, at Nevada Regional Medical Center. She weighed 8 pounds, 13 ounces, and measured 20 inches. She joins a brother, Kalen Reid Morris. Paternal grandparent is John Morris, Nevada. Paternal great-grandparents are Ellen Wood, Nevada, and Grace Morris, Louisberg, Kan. Paternal great-great-grandparent is Etta Sunderland, Great Bend, Kan. Maternal grandparents are Doug and Judy Campbell, Nevada. Maternal great-grandparents are Mel and Helen Flickinger, Pretty Prairie, Kan., and George and Vi Campbell, Lyons, Kan.

Ethan Lee Frank

Mr. and Mrs. Zach Frank, Nevada, are proud to announce the birth of their son, Ethan Lee Frank. Ethan was born at 11:53 p.m., on Sept. 14, 2004, at Nevada Regional Medical Center. He weighed 6 pounds, 8 ounces, and measured 20.5 inches. He joins a sister, Lauren Frank. Paternal grandparents are Don and Frances Frank, Stillwater, Okla. Paternal great-grandparent is Elizabeth Stokes, Stillwater, Okla. Maternal grandparents are Janet Strawder, LeRoy, Kan., and Keith and Cheryl Hammond, Neosho Falls, Kan. Maternal great-grandparent is Kate Hammond, Yates Center, Kan. Maternal great-great-grandparent is Gertrude Mechnig, Yates Center, Kan.

Deaths

George William Moore

George William Moore, 64, of rural Uniontown, Kan., died Friday, Sept. 17, 2004, at his home following a lengthy illness. He was born Jan. 10, 1940, in Creighton, Mo., the son of Russell J. Moore and Minnie Loree Folger Moore.

He attended El Dorado Springs High School. He married Mary Duggins on Dec. 10, 1965, at Kansas City, Kan. He was a rancher and stockman. He was a member of the Deerfield Church of God (Holiness).

Survivors include his wife, Mary Moore, of Uniontown, Kan.; two sons, George W. Moore Jr., Appleton City, Mo., and Russell J. Moore, Uniontown, Kan.; two daughters, Evelyn Moran, San Antonio, Texas, and Nancy Dempsey, Springfield. Also surviving are two brothers, J. T. Moore, Greenfield, Mo., and Charles Moore, Oakhurst, Okla.; two sisters, Clara Laughlin, Pineville, Mo., and Edna Calhoun, Independence, Mo.; and nine grandchildren.

Pastor Bill Smith will conduct funeral services at 2:30 p.m. Monday, Sept. 20, 2004, at the Cheney Witt Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow in the Paint Creek Cemetery with graveside services being conducted by Pastor Ryan Stiffler. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the Cheney Witt Memorial Chapel.
