Nevada police investigating break-ins

Nevada Police Chief Christine Keim reported that break-ins or attempted break-ins occurred at several locations between Monday and Tuesday. The affected premises included A-Plus Metals, 606 N. Osage; Wilson Tire, 2121 E. Austin; Producer's Grain, 905 E. Hickory; Producer's Grain, 1107 E. Hickory; Cash's Quality Electric, 111 N. Barrett; and Ketter Motors (vehicles broken into), 215 N. Osage.

A pickup was reported stolen by John Morris from 711 W. South. The 1996 red Dodge Ram extended cab pickup had Mason & Morris Masonry printed on the glass of the extended cab. In four instances, change is the only item reported taken.

Keim said that the detectives are following up on evidence and leads.
