Walker telephone lines to connect with Nevada

Fred A. Dalton and a number of other prominent citizens of Walker were in Nevada today and consulted with the managers of the two Nevada telephone systems.

Walker has three telephone systems, all three of which have a large number of patrons.

The Walker citizens and residents on the telephone lines are anxious to have connection with Nevada.

A switch board will be put in at Walker and this is to be connected with one of the Nevada systems if proper arrangements can be made.

Lion Allen Hays put over genuine surprise but now faces a dangerous future

The Lions weekly luncheon held at the Christian Church yesterday was exceptionally enjoyable, due to a unique and clever program prepared by the versatile Lion, Allen V. Hays.

Lion Hays put over a genuine surprise on the Lions by having their wives not only present but in charge of the meeting, ousting officers and placing their wives in their official position.

The ousting was ruthlessly performed and while "Hubbies" took a back seat their wives made them look as meek as just so many little lambs.

Lion Hays furnished "wives" for the bachelor Lions by putting handsome "gowns" on other bachelor Lions.
