Marie Juanita Adams, 88, Nevada, died Friday, Dec. 10, 2004, at Christian Health Care, Nevada, following a lengthy illness. She was born Aug. 22, 1916, in Monett, Mo. She was married March 20, 1935, in Nevada, to Lewis Adams who survives of the home.

She grew up in Bronaugh. She graduated from Bronaugh High School. She worked in catalog sales for Sears for 15 years, retiring in 1981. She was a member of Pine Street Baptist Church in Nevada and was involved in the 4-H.

In addition to her husband, Lewis, she is survived by one daughter, Elizabeth Bigler, Raytown, Mo.; three sons, Charles Adams, Fontana, Calif., Leonard Adams, Blue Springs, Mo., and Jackie Adams, Olathe, Kan.; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one brother, Everett Hope, Bronaugh; and two sisters, Mabel Gurr, Columbus, Ga., and Wilma Poster, Bronaugh.

Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Monday, Dec. 13, at Ferry Funeral Home, Nevada, with David Landwehr officiating. Interment will follow in Worsley Cemetery, Bronaugh.

Friends may call from now and until the time of service at Ferry Funeral Home in Nevada. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday between 1:30 and 2:30 p.m.

The family suggests that memorials may be made to Pine Street Baptist Church in care of the funeral home.
