Internal Revenue Service VITA volunteers will be preparing federal state and property tax returns again this year, free of charge, to low income, elderly or disabled taxpayers.

In most cases these returns can be electronically filed. Refunds can be expected in five to 10 days if deposited directly into your bank account or approximately 14 days if mailed to you.

Please bring last year's tax return with you if VITA volunteers did not prepare your return last year.

Hours are 5-8 p.m. on Thursdays and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturdays, Jan. 15- April 15, at 114 W. Hunter, Suite B, Nevada. For more information, call (417)667-5851.
