Funeral services for Charles F. "Chuck" Trower, 81, of Longview, Texas, will be 10 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 19, in the Rader Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Dan Darby and Dr. Del Covington officiating. Interment will follow in Rusk County Memorial Gardens. The family will greet friends at the funeral home 5 to 7 p.m., today.

Mr. Trower went to be with his Lord Tuesday morning in a local Texas hospital.

A native of Walker, Mo., he was born July 25, 1923, and had lived in the Longview, Texas, area for the past 2 years moving from Henderson, Texas. He was a retired supervisor for Anderson-Hickey Office Furniture manufacturing and was a member of the Hallsville First Methodist Church. Mr. Trower served his country during World War II in the U.S. Army Air Corps.

Mr. Trower was preceded in death by his parents, John and Emma Trower; a sister, Elnora Reddick; and a brother, Leonard Trower.

He is survived by his wife, Dorothy, of Longview, Texas; daughters, Karen Phillips and husband, James, of Longview, Texas, and Cheryl McKey and husband, Roy, of Longview, Texas; grandchildren, Kaylynn Bailey and husband, Chuck, of Longview, Texas, Kelly Ciborowski and husband, Carl, of Dallas, Texas, Kimberly McGarvey and husband, Doug, of Hallsville, Texas, Ryan McKey of Dallas, Texas, Chris Phillips and wife, Lisa, of Fort Worth, Texas, and Leslie Drake and husband, Richard, of Longview, Texas; 14 great-grandchildren; and sister, Daisy Ritchie and husband, Bill, of Clinton, Mo.

The family request memorials to "First Friends" Preschool at Hallsville First United Methodist Church in Texas.
