Mary Ilene Lukenbill

Mary Ilene Lukenbill, 56, Nevada died Friday, Feb. 18, 2005, at North Kansas City Hospital, North Kansas City, Mo., following a lengthy illness. She was born April 17, 1948, in Clinton, Mo., to Frederick Orville Lukenbill and Mary Evelyn Hicks Lukenbill.

Mary grew up in Nevada and graduated from Nevada High School. She was very active in the Ladies Auxiliary Fraternal Order of Eagles where she had been a 20-year member and past-president. She was an active volunteer with the Nevada Eagles Lodge in fund-raising for the Children's Mercy Hospital.

Survivors include four brothers, Robert Lukenbill, Poteau, Okla., Jack Lukenbill, Harrisonville, Mo., David Lukenbill, Tucson, Ariz., and Frank Lukenbill, Smithville, Mo.; three sisters, Marjorie Hammontree, El Dorado Springs, Linda Milster-Fanning, Vandalia, Mo., and Sharon Skidmore, Branson; numerous nieces, nephews, many friends at the Nevada Eagles Lodge and Buddy. She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers, Elmer Lukenbill, Roger Lukenbill and Charlie Lukenbill.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday, Feb. 21, at Ferry Funeral Home, Nevada. Interment will follow at Newton Burial Park in Nevada.

Following the service, a dinner will be held at the Nevada Eagles Lodge. All friends are invited to attend.

Friends may call from now and until the hour of service at Ferry Funeral Home, Nevada. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday evening between 7 and 8 p.m.

The family suggests that memorials may be made to the Nevada Eagles Lodge Benefit Fund in care of the funeral home.
