Prough 50th anniversary

Mr. and Mrs. Everett L. Prough will be honored with a 50th wedding anniversary open house from 1 to 3 p.m., Feb. 27, at the Schell City Community Building, Schell City, Mo.

Patricia Ann Goble and Everett L. Prough were married in a fireside ceremony Feb. 27, 1955, in the home of the bride's cousins, Gerald and Mary Lou Harms, in Kansas City, Mo. They have spent all their married lives in Northeast Vernon County. First on their dairy farm north of Walker and then on retiring in 1978 to their new home west of Schell City and in 1991 to their present home in Schell City. Hosts for the celebration will be the couple's children, Ken Prough, Battlefield, Mo.; Kathy Richardson and her husband, Sam, of Moweaqua, Ill.; Karen Doolin and her husband, B.J., Shell Knob, Mo.; grandsons, Adam and Curtis Richardson, Carbondale, Ill., and granddaughter Teri Jo Doolin, Shell Knob, Mo.
