Rising to the occasion
Thursday, March 3, 2005
Children at the Nevada Public Library got a treat during story time Wednesday as Martha Bledsoe brought stories to life as she baked bread for the group, raised and cooked in a bread machine used for the occasion. As the children sat close around watching, Bledsoe held up various forms of bread, highlighting the theme for the day. The children sang along with Bledsoe as she led them in "I wish I Were a Pepperoni Pizza" and "Pizza Pizza it's a treat." After the singing the children heard the stories of "The Unbeatable Bread" and "The Little Red Hen Makes a Pizza" and then made their own pizza.
