Virginia I. August

Virginia I. August passed away Feb. 26, 2005, at Moore-Few Nursing Home following a brief illness. She was born Aug. 26, 1927. She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother and her husband, Alfred August.

Survivors include one daughter, Sonja Catalano; two grandchildren, Jason and Gina; and four great-grandchildren, all of the state of California. She will also be greatly missed by many good friends of the Nevada area.

Her organizational memberships include; Eastern Star, White Shrine, Epsilon Sigma Alpha Sorority, United Methodist Church and Widows of the Bataan-Carriqadore Death March.

Services for Virginia August will be held on Wednesday, March 9, at 1 p.m. at Evergreen Memorial Chapel with interment at the National Cemetery in Fort Scott, Kan.
