Freda Irene Raabe

Freda Irene Raabe, 65, Horton, died Saturday, March 5, 2005, at Independence Regional Hospital, Independence, Mo. She was born Jan. 24, 1940, in Milo, to Robert Lewis Willson and Anna Mae Kessler Willson. She married Elton John Raabe on June 23, 1956, in Rinehart Christian Church, Horton, and he survives of the home.

In addition to her husband, Elton, she is survived by three daughters, Cheryl McCorkendale and her husband, George, Independence, Mo., Sandy Heathman and her husband, Jerry, Omaha, Neb., and Glenna Taylor and her husband, David, Rich Hill; nine grandchildren; mother, Anna Mae Willson; five sisters, Dee Jacks, Ruby Forkner, Peggy Hunt, Mary Comstock, Janet Nichols; and one brother, Gilbert Willson. She was preceded in death by one son, Gary Wayne; one sister, Joyce Emory; and father, R. L. Willson.

Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, March 9, at Rinehart Cemetery, Horton, with Everett Forkner officiating. The family receives friends 6-7 p.m., today, March 8, at Ferry Funeral Home, Nevada, for a closed casket visitation. A private family viewing will follow at 7:30 p.m. Friends may call now and until 10 a.m. on March 9, at the funeral home.
