Campbell, Mills named all-conference

Thursday, March 10, 2005

Nevada basketball players Bryan Campbell and J.R. Mills both were named to the All-Southwest Conference teams. Campbell, a sophomore, was a first-team selection after averaging 14.4 points per game last season. Campbell averaged 12.5 points per game in conference play and was often the focal point for opposing defenses. Mills (not pictured), a junior, was named to the second team. Mills averaged 11.2 points per game, but improved that to 12.8 points per game in conference play. Mills was one of the most lethal outside threats in the conference, leading the Tigers with 58 3-pointers. There were only three players combined on the first and second teams that were not seniors, and Nevada had two of them.
