Children deserve high quality schools

Dear editor:

By now this community has already heard about the possibility of having another tax levy vote. If not then here we are, this is the problem with our community. ALL of US have a responsibility to know what is being done not just around town, but what is happening in our schools! The reason this issue is the most important, is because it involves our children. Lets face it, can anyone think of something or someone as important as our children? I can't! I know I am not the only parent that feels this way.

We all need to take a moment and take a good look at our child.

That beautiful child is left to fix the mess our generation has left them. We can't just ignore the inevitable. It is our duty to see that our children become more empowered, educated, independent thinking and progressive than this generation. In order to make this happen all parents, grandparents, uncles, aunts anyone who has a child in their life need to take responsibility and make decisions about their education right away!

So today I am asking everyone who has a child in their life to attend the Nevada High School Board Meeting on March 16, at 7 p.m. There are going to be serious issues discussed and I think it is time to get the facts instead of waiting for the office gossip the next morning at work. Our children need us to go and find out the truth about what is happening with our child's education. I am not asking people to go so that their ideas or votes would be invalidated. I am asking people to attend the meeting so that all of us will get facts.

Then, armed with all the facts, people will be able to make an informed decision. Lets show our children we are not going to just go the easy route and wait to see what hap pens. Lets show them how much they mean to us and help build their future. Please be there tonight. Thank You!!
