Charles Edwin Holland, 64, Nevada, died suddenly, Tuesday, March 15, 2005, in Claremore, Okla. He was born on April 19, 1940, in Nevada, to Paul Edward Holland and Nora Alline Beshore Holland. He married Linda Lucille Stewart on April 22, 1975, in Miami, Okla., and she survives of the home.

Charles was raised in the Sheldon area and spent virtually his entire life here. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps from March 31, 1958, to March 30, 1961. Following the service, he made his living as a trucker. He was a member of the Eagles Lodge No. 3770, Nevada.

Survivors in addition to his wife, Linda, of the home, include one son, Charlie D. Holland, Nevada; one stepdaughter, Linda Wheeler, Nevada; four stepsons, James Stewart, Gerald Kegerries, Larry Fenton and Gary Fenton, all of Nevada; one grandson, Chandler Holland; six stepgrandchildren; one brother, Paul Holland, Nevada; two sisters, Pauline Geyer, Dewey, Okla., and Darlene Doolin, Greenfield, Mo.; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; and one granddaughter, LaTasha Fenton.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, March 18, at Ferry Funeral Home, with Dan Doolin officiating. Interment will follow in Sheldon Cemetery, Sheldon. Friends may call now and until the hour of service at the funeral home. A memorial service will be conducted by the Eagles Lodge No. 3770 at 6:30 p.m. today, March 17, at the funeral home.
