The Nevada junior varsity golf team beat Girard, Kan., Thursday in a dual competition at Frank E. Peters Municipal Golf Course in Nevada.

The Tigers carded a 196 nine-hole team score, beating Girard by 17 strokes.

Brandon Davis led Nevada with a 45 and David Cavener shot a 46.

Rob Murphy of Girard was the individual low scorer with a 43.

Nevada had three players shoot between 52-54.
