Timothy Dan Cooper, 23, Pleasant Hill, Mo., died Thursday, April 28, 2005. He was born Aug. 19, 1981, in Neosho, Mo., the son of Ron and Jo Brown Cooper.

He grew up in Carthage until the third grade, then moved to West Plains. He graduated from West Plains High School in 2000. He worked in El Dorado Springs for a short time and attended Fort Scott Community College in 2001. He then moved to Pleasant Hill and worked as an electrician until joining the Marines in December 2004. He had just completed and graduated Marine basic training on April 22, 2005. He was saved and baptized at Berean Baptist Church on July 11, 1993.

He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal great-grandparents and two infant cousins. Survivors include his parents, Ron Cooper, of Walker, and Jo Cooper, of Pleasant Hill; sister, Casey Hammond, Pleasant Hill; grandparents; aunts; uncles; cousins; and other relatives.

Funeral services were held on Monday, May 2, at 2 p.m., at Union Hall Baptist Church in El Dorado Springs. Interment was in the Mount Pleasant Cemetery with full military honors. Arrangements are by Hackleman and Sons Funeral Home.
