James Franklin Larson Sr., 64, Nevada, died June 4, 2005, at KU Medical Center in Kansas City, Kan.

He was born on July 12, 1940, in Albert Lee, Minn., to Phillip Northrup and Olive Irene (Oyer) Larson. He married Pearlette F. Scholes on Dec. 3, 1973.

He was a member of the Coal Hill Community of Christ Church. He worked at the Nevada Habilitation Center in Nevada for more than 32 years.

He is survived by his wife, Pearlette, of the home; children, James F. Larson Jr., Clarence M. McNeely, James M. McNeely, Joseph McNeely, Elvie R. McNeely, Patricia M. Bishop, Georgia K. Bell, Madeline C. Sneed, Ethel F. Brower, Lola J. Slyter and Kela D. Montieth; a brother, Northrup Larson; sisters, Phyliss Fleener, Marianna Cotton and Della Parkison; 37 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held today, June 8, at 10 a.m., at the Coal Hill Community of Christ Church near El Dorado Springs with Jess Reynolds and Chad Reynolds officiating. Interment was in the Coal Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers were Mical Sneed, Scott Stone, Jason McNeely, Nathan Commings, Charles Pratt and Aaron Pratt. Honorary pallbearers were Larry Robertson and James Reiff. Arrangements are by Sheldon Funeral Home in El Dorado Springs.
