Three couples observe 50th wedding anniversaries today

Three couples, two sisters and a brother, are celebrating 50 years of marriage each today, June 26, with an open house, at Zion Lutheran Church, Linn, Kan. Carol and Raymond Rahe, Linn, Kan., Nora and Merlin Johnson. Nevada, Mo., and Floyd and Eleanor Rogge, Washington, Kan., were married consecutively on June 19, 24 and 26, 1955. The three couples' children and grandchildren hosted the open house.
Before retirement, Carol was an L.P.N. and assistant director of nursing at the Linn Community Nursing Home and Raymond was a salesman and part owner of Kuhlman Implement and Hardware in Linn. Nora was the administrative assistant at the Nevada Housing Authority and Merlin "Mr. J" was principal at Walker, Mo. Floyd was a brick and stonemason and carpenter, learning the trade from their father. Eleanor was a secretary for the Co-op Elevator Assn., Washington, Kan.
Carol, Nora and Floyd are the children of Theodore and Mildred Rogge, both deceased, who lived in the Linn and Washington, Kan., communities for many years.
