Man arrested after scuffle with police

Two Nevada police officers were allegedly assaulted by a man at a residence at 437 E. Pitcher Friday during an investigation into an incident at another location. Officer Kevin Anders made contact with Tracy E. Pryor, 46, of the residence and during Anders' investigation a struggle took place between the two.

Sergeant D.W. Osburn arrived along with several other Nevada Police Department officers and Pryor was taken into custody. A Vernon County warrant was obtained charging Pryor with two class C felonies of assault on Officer Anders and Sergeant Osburn and one class D felony of resisting arrest. Pryor is currently in jail in lieu of $50,000 bond.
