The race meeting

The officers of the Nevada Park Driving Club are now closely engaged in completing the arrangements for the big race to be held next week. The race track is being worked every day and is now in splendid condition, and if the weather continues favorable, horsemen expect to see the fastest races ever held at the race park.

A great string of racers, trotters and runners are now in the Missouri Grand circuit and the races are the best ever held in this section.

Legion Drum Corps to Moundville and Bronaugh

The American Legion Drum corps is meeting several times each week now, preparing to be in first class condition for the state convention, which will be held this year at Chillicothe, Mo., the latter part of August.

As there are several eligible men not yet signed up for the 1930 year the drum corps plan a membership drive in several of the smaller towns in the county during the coming month.
