Florence E. Linn

Florence E. Linn, 90, Liberal, died Tuesday, Nov. 8, 2005, at Mercy Hospital, Fort Scott, Kan.

She was born July 29, 1915, in Gross, Kan., the daughter of Ralph M. and Bessie Brown Bean. She married Robert V. Linn on Feb. 28, 1940, at Garland, Kan., he preceded her in death on July 23, 1995.

She was reared in Gross and rural Arcadia and graduated from Arcadia high school in 1935. She had been a resident of Liberal since 1975.

She was a member of the Liberal Christian Church. She was retired office clerk for J.C. Penney's in Fort Scott, Wichita, and Pittsburg.

Survivors include one son; Derald Linn, Springdale, Ark., two sisters; Leona Mayfield, Fort Scott, and Donna Totman, Osage City, Kan., one brother; Milo Bean, Parsons, Kan., two grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by two brothers.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 10, at the Bedene Funeral Home, Arma, Kan., with the Rev. R.B. Shoemaker officiating. Burial will be at the McKill Cemetery, Bronaugh, Mo.

The family will receive friends from 6-7 p.m., Wednesday at the Bedene Chapel, Arma, where friends may call after 11 a.m.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Bedene Funeral Home, Arma.
