Faye Inez Lintner

Faye Inez Lintner, 76, Lamar, Mo., formerly of Sheldon, Mo., died Wednesday, Nov. 9, 2005, at Barton County Memorial Hospital in Lamar, following a lengthy illness. She was born June 29, 1929, in Oxford, Ark., to Joseph Walter Soden and Willie Elva Soden. She married Robert Henry Lintner in 1962, in Kansas City, Mo. He preceded her in death on Oct. 10, 1995.

Faye was born in Arkansas and spent part of her youth in Washington State. She moved to Vernon County in the mid '60s and spent virtually the rest of her life here. Mrs. Lintner worked for many years as a Dietician at the Nevada State Hospital and Mt. Vernon Chest Hospital, retiring in 1977. She spent her retirement years in this area, Faye attended the First Baptist Church in Lamar.

Survivors include three sons, Rick Rusco, Riverside, Calif., Robert Lintner Jr., Lamar, Mo., and Edward Lintner, Lee's Summit, Mo.; four daughters, Donna Stewart, Deb Yost, Carla Jo Lintner, all of Lamar, Mo., and Bobbie Vittetoe, Nevada, numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; one brother, Thelbert Soden and his wife, Hazel, Springdale, Ark.; two sisters, Evelyn Ward and her husband, Orbra, Melbourne, Ark., and Sondria Harrison and her husband, Bill, Washington State. She was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Kimberly King, and two brothers, Doyle Soden and James Ray Soden.

Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 12, at Ferry Funcral Home, Nevada, with Pastor Rob Hodson officiating. Interment will follow in Sheldon Cemetery, Sheldon. Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society in care of Ferry Funeral Home, Nevada, Mo.
