Eva Virginia Hogan, 84, Nevada, Mo., died Monday, Nov. 21, 2005, at Nevada Regional Medical Center, Nevada, following a lengthy illness. She was born Nov. 3, 1920, in Marshalltown, Iowa, to Herbert Barnhart Parrish and Blanch Pearl Williams Parrish. She married Frank A. Hogan on June 3, 1939, in Butler, Mo., and he survives of Nevada.

Mrs. Hogan grew up and graduated from high school in Fulton, Kan. She lived in the Nevada and Vernon County area the remainder of her life. She was a homemaker and was loved by all who knew her.

Survivors, in addition to her husband, Frank, include four sons, Jim Hogan, Independence, Mo., Gary Hogan, Moundville, Mo., Tom Hogan and Ken Hogan, both of Nevada; two daughters, Joyce Litten, Nevada, and Pam Bennett, Overland Park, Kan.; nine grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, and one brother.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, Nov. 26, at Ferry Funeral Home, Nevada. Interment will follow in Newton Burial Park. The family receives friends 7-8 p.m., Friday, Nov. 25, at the funeral home. Friends may call now through Wednesday evening and after 8 a.m., on Friday until the hour of service at the funeral home.
