Ida "Eda" Katherine Kahle Danneker

Ida "Eda" Katherine Kahle Danneker, age 92, of El Dorado Springs was born on Sept. 30, 1913, in Johnson County, Kan., and passed away on Dec. 23, 2005, at the Community Springs Care Center in El Dorado Springs.

She was united in marriage on April 15, 1932, to Edward Danneker. In 1945 she and Ed moved to Nevada, Mo., where they became partners in the Minneapolis Moline Implement business.

She was a charter member of St. Paul Lutheran Church ELCA of Nevada. After her husband passed away in 1991, she sold their acreage in Compton Junction and moved into a mobile home at her daughters in El Dorado Springs. Eda enjoyed gardening, quilting and was well known for her beautiful rugs she made on her rug loom.

She was preceded in death by her husband; a daughter, Thelma Jean; her parents; one sister and one brother. Survivors include on daughter, Barbara Pentecost and her husband, John of El Dorado Springs; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Visitation for family and friends will be Tuesday, Dec. 27, at 7 p.m., at the Hackleman Chapel, Lamar. Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, Dec. 28, at 1 p.m., at Pleasant View Cemetery in Shawnee, Kan., with Pastor Kim Osborn officiating under the direction of the Hackleman and Sons Funeral Home.
