Jennifer Marie Batchelor Lewis, 29, Nevada, Mo., died Wednesday, Jan. 4, 2006, at her mother's home in Milo, following a sudden illness. She was born Jan. 3, 1977, in Fort Scott, Kan., to Hollis Wayne Batchelor and Judy Lee Goddard Batchelor. She married Leonard J.D. Lewis on Aug. 16, 2005, in Miami, Okla., and he survives of the home.

Jennifer grew up in the Nevada area, attended the Nevada schools, and lived in this area her whole life. She was a member of the American Pool Players Association and the American Quarter Horse Association. Jennifer loved kids, horses, and dogs.

Survivors in addition to her husband Leonard, include her mother, Judy Batchelor, Milo; her father, Hollis Batchelor, Princeton, Ky.; one sister, Amanda Willis, Nevada; two half-sisters, Kristina Burnham and Katherine Burnham, both of Albany, Ga.; one half-brother, Charlie Batchelor, Princeton, Ky.; two nieces, two nephews, several aunts, uncles, cousins, and two stepchildren, Destani Lewis and Deryk Lewis, both of Nevada.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., on Monday, Jan. 9, at Ferry Funeral, Home, Nevada, with the Rev. Bill Smith officiating. Interment will follow in Richland Cemetery, Richards, Mo., Friends may call now and until the hour of service and the family receives friends 2-4 p.m., on Sunday, Jan. 8, at the funeral home.
